Tax-Deductible Status

Effective June 2026

Nonprofit status

ConstructiveDevSteps is a United States nonprofit organization. To the extent it qualifies as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Your receipt

We email a dated receipt for every gift. Keep it for your records — it is your proof of contribution for tax purposes. An annual giving summary is also available in your Supporter Portal.

Please confirm with a professional

We are not able to give tax advice. Please consult your own tax advisor about how a gift affects your personal return.

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

1. Information we collect

When you donate or create a Supporter Portal account, we collect the information you give us: your name, email, mailing address, and the amount and date of your gift. We also automatically collect basic technical data — such as browser type and pages visited — to keep the site secure and working.

2. Payment information

Card and bank details are entered directly into a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full card number on our own servers.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to process gifts, send receipts and tax summaries, operate your portal, answer your questions, and send updates you have chosen to receive.

4. How we share it

We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate — for example payment processing and email delivery — under confidentiality obligations, or where we are required to by law.

5. Your choices and rights

You may ask for a copy of your data, correct it, unsubscribe from email at any time, or ask us to close your account and delete your information. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention and security

We keep donation records for as long as tax and legal rules require, and protect them with industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so we limit access to the few people who need it.

7. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and keep you signed in. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.

8. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Terms of Use

Last updated June 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Donations

All gifts are voluntary. Unless a gift is clearly set up as recurring, it is a one-time gift. Recurring gifts continue until you cancel them in your Supporter Portal or by contacting us.

3. Refunds

We treat every gift as a considered decision. If you made a genuine error — a wrong amount, a duplicate, or an unauthorized charge — contact us within 15 days and we will review and refund honest mistakes.

4. Use of funds

Gifts advance our charitable mission. When a gift is designated for a specific project, we honor that designation. If a project is fully funded or cannot proceed, we may move funds to a similar project and will note this publicly.

5. Accuracy of information

Project descriptions and figures are provided in good faith and updated as work progresses. As a newly launched organization, our totals are modest and reflect real activity.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to break its security, disrupt the donation or portal systems, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

Site content, logos, and text belong to ConstructiveDevSteps or are used with permission, and may not be reused without our written consent.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConstructiveDevSteps is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows the current version, and continued use of the site means you accept the changes.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Governance & Accountability

Effective June 2026

1. Legal structure

ConstructiveDevSteps operates under written bylaws adopted by its board of directors and is organized to pursue a charitable mission as a nonprofit.

2. Board oversight

A volunteer board of directors governs the organization, approves the budget, and reviews significant spending. Directors serve without compensation.

3. Conflict of interest

Directors and staff must disclose any conflict of interest and step back from related decisions, in line with our written Conflict of Interest policy.

4. Financial controls

Contributions and expenses are recorded as they happen, more than one person reviews disbursements, and bank and donation records are reconciled regularly.

5. Independent review

At the close of our first year, our financial records will be reviewed by an independent accountant before any figure is described as "audited."

6. Use of donations

We commit to directing the large majority of every dollar to program costs, and to clearly naming what administrative and fundraising costs cover.

7. Transparency

As a newly launched initiative we have no prior annual reports. Until our first report is published, supporters can see contributions and spending as they happen and may ask about any single expense.

8. Whistleblower protection

Anyone may report suspected misconduct without fear of retaliation, in line with our Whistleblower policy. Reports may be made confidentially through the Contact page.

9. Questions

Governance questions can be directed to the board through the Contact page.
